Frist Saturday practice!   We will be hosting an introduction to saber class as well as additional training for the first hour. the rest of the time is open floor for practice and mock competition.  Lesson plan 

First Friday practice of the semester! Please fill out the waiver before coming.  We will be welcoming all our new members and teaching them the 8 guards and how to transition between them. As well as the simple and passing step.  Old members will review the footwork, guards, transfers, and master cuts, ending with a sparring game.  Elections are next week, all positions are open for elections. Fall SOVO fair is the biggest recruiting event of the year, every VCU club gathers in the commons while the entire school passes through. We field a poster and table of weapons and armor and usually get over 100 signatures of interested people. Check-in begins at 14:00 the earlier we check in the better placement we get, please arrive by 13:45, the event begins at 15:00. 

Come out for a super informal practice to recruit new people before SOVO fair. Bring your kits and get ready for social sword fighting. 

Rec sports night is a chance for all the sports clubs to get together in the gym and put on demonstrations while making friends and attracting recruits. We field a poster, flyers, and some sweet demonstrations and use this as one of our main recruiting events. Please wear your club uniform and bring your kit, we put on a presentation of different weapons and sparring. Steel preferred.
